Introduction
Development of Nano-scaled precipitates in
𝑇𝑖50 𝑁𝑖15 𝑃𝑑25 𝐶𝑢10 alloy.
Two types of precipitates are formed:
1. TiPdCu type(Cu rich)
2. Ti2 Pd type (Ti rich)
Precipitation Mechanism
Objectives
Develop nano-scaled precipitates in quaternary
alloy.
Characterize these precipitates via:
1. AFM:
To determine the size and topographical features of
the precipitates.
2. Nano-indentor.
To determine the individual hardness of the
precipitates and other mechanical properties such
as young modulus etc.
