What is the Americans with Disabilities
Act?

 Forbids discrimination against people with disabilities.


 Secures the rights of job seekers, and employees.
 The ADA protects areas of disabilities.
 Institutes necessity for telecommunication relay services.
Title II of the Americans with Disabilities
Act
 Forbidsdiscrimination in programs/ activities
provided by State and Local government.
 Protects ALL activities provided to the public by
state and local government, but Public
transportation services are excluded.
 Protection is enforced regardless of whether
federal financial assistance is included.
