PRACTICE BEHAVIOR 4.1

 Use practice experience and theory to inform scientific inquiry and research.
 Activity/Task: Research symptoms of child abuse/neglect and become more familiar symptoms at different ages as well as
red flags. Make recommendations based on research.
PRACTICE BEHAVIOR 4.2

 Apply critical thinking to engage in analysis of quantitative and qualitative research methods and research findings.
 Activity/Task: Analyze research findings on symptoms of child abuse and make appropriate recommendations on court
report as well as communicating on concerns with inter-professional collaborative.
PRACTICE BEHAVIOR 4.3

 Use and translate research evidence to inform and improve practice, policy, and service delivery.
 Activity/Task: Apply research with population to advocate for necessary services. Recommendations on court
report should display research
APPLICATION OF PRACTICE BEHAVIORS 4.1-4.3

 Child was having problems going to the bathroom after every visit with his mother. The caregivers would report the child
having accidents. I conducted brief research (4.1) and informed the social worker to recommend therapy of have issue
addressed at therapy (4.2). In addition to discussing concerns with social worker and supervisor, I made recommendation on
my court report to express concern and reassure the court understand the need for such recommendation (4.3).
