What is the project?

 Database using Excel to keep record of all individuals who have

applied to volunteer with Hoke County and Scotland County
GAL.

 Database consist of a contact log and a call log

Who does it benefit?
 Community- Provides opportunities for retention and recruiting
of volunteers and in turn can help provide adequate volunteers
to all children

 GAL Supervisor- Allows for contact information to be organized

for easier assess. Allows for follow up on applicants to help
retain possible volunteers

When & Where will it take place?

 Online via Excel

 Development of database completed before October 1st to

ensure proper and effective usage of program.

Importance of Project

 Need:
 Recruiting volunteers
 Retaining Volunteers
 Volunteers = Cases covered = A voice for every child

 This project is intended to help stay up to date with potential

volunteers and applicants

 It is intended to increase the numbers of volunteer by keeping

record of recent conversations, possible start dates, and additional
information pertaining to recent and previous applicants.
