“For Those Who Run” Part 4

• Last week we made an attempt to disclose the
methods of our enemy to keep us from
having the mind of Christ. We spoke of our
minds being captured by reasoning and the
logic of this world, which in turn has produced
strongholds in people’s lives. Our failure to
deal with our mind has produced a generation
of people who have operated from their
emotions instead of the Word of God.
• We have come to understand that it has produced
instability in the ranks of the church. The end of a
life lived by emotion and emotional response is
“self”. The generation that has “me” as the purpose
and design of the church will be absorbed by the
culture in which they live. If the culture is conducive
to autonomy and what feels good to the individual
then the cost and commitment expressed in the
person of Christ becomes too great and becomes
personalized into our will instead of God’s will.
• It is my prayer that you have made an attempt
to clear your mind into the purpose and
design that God has for you and secondly how
you fit into the purpose and design of the
church, which is His body. It is important to
remember that your mind must be
transformed in order to know His will and His
vision .
• We must be willing and committed to fight this war with God’s
Weapons, God’s System, in God’s time and with God’s numbers.
• Romans 1:20-22 (King James Version)
• 20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are
clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even
his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
• 21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as
God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations,
and their foolish heart was darkened.
• 22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
•
• 23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image
made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts,
and creeping things.
• 24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts
of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between
themselves:
• 25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and
served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever.
Amen.
• 26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their
women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
• 27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use
of the woman, burned in their lust one toward
another; men with men working that which is
unseemly, and receiving in themselves that
recompence of their error which was meet.
• 28And even as they did not like to retain God in their
knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate
mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
• This is the story of any culture that “knows
God” yet refuses to “acknowledge Him as
God”. We find this kind of culture in the Old
Testament books of Jeremiah, Daniel and
others.
• The disintegration of that culture becomes
evident based on the worship of the
“creature” more than the Creator.
• Obviously the evolution of that culture will
bring homosexuality to an accepted place
before destruction.
• God raises up men and women to stand
against this compromise, Jeremiah preaches
about the condition of the leadership, the
people, the priests and the church. In a single
verse I will give you the overview…..
• Lamentations 1
• 1How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of
people! how is she become as a widow! she that
was great among the nations, and princess among
the provinces, how is she become tributary!
• 2She weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are on
her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to
comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously
with her, they are become her enemies.
• Another verse in Jeremiah says, my prophets
prophesy falsely and my people love to have it
so….
• I don’t have to tell you that the culture of
individualism has settled and is comfortable
inside of the church. Our culture only has three
places that it can go.
• The first is hedonism, which is everyone doing
what feels good to them..
• The second is what Francis Schaeffer in “The Death of
the City” calls the 51% majority, or the majority rules.
This is called “sociological law”, no controls or way to
challenge the majority. The Constitution is a form of
restraint but is being overridden by the courts.
• True government has checks and balances, our Supreme
Courts would say they are representing the majority, but
the majority is not rule by consensus. Case in point, if
Hitler could get 51% percent of the German vote, he
would have been justified in the killing of the Jews.
• The third option is a dictator or some form of
authoritarianism, wherein the elite or one man
tells the society what to do.
• I don’t have to tell you which option will be
chosen eventually. We can’t ignore this any
longer. We must rise up to the call in our
generation. This is why God is stirring and
shaking this system. He is going to have a
group of people that are called to His purpose.
• Let me share a formula with you, for
revolution to occur. These are the ingredients.
• Reformation + Revival +
Remnant = Spiritual
Revolution or the
Restoration of a System.
• Now these have all happened sporadically and
intermittently in the last two hundred years.
• Reformation deals with restoring truth or
doctrine
• Revival deals with restoring people to a right
relationship with God
• Remnant deals with a group with commitment
and cost
• We are now in a generation where all of these
ingredients are in place to form a critical mass to
change our world and be the church.
• Because of spiritual confusion and the impact of the
“mysterious babylon” it has produced more rebellion
than revolution.
• We love truth, people are being saved, discipled and
filled with the Holy Ghost, many have been called but
there are those who are being chosen!
• Spiritual Revolution is coming……..
• Who was the greatest revolutionary of all time?
• Jesus, who came to give complete overhaul to a system, a
system of approaching and having a personal God. He didn’t
want to alleviate the system in place just make it perfect.
• Matthew 5:17-18 (King James Version)
• 17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the
prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
• 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one
jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be
fulfilled.
• Exodus 24-33 You have to get closer if you
want to see what’s going on!!!!!
• What the people saw at the base of the
mountain was totally different from what was
going on at the top of the mountain. It was all
relative to their position and their ability to
see.

• Matthew 17:19-21 (King James Version)
• 19Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why
could not we cast him out?
• 20And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for
verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard
seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to
yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be
impossible unto you.
• 21Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

• Covenant
• Malachi 2:15 (The Message)
• 13-15And here's a second offense: You fill the place of worship
with your whining and sniveling because you don't get what you
want from God. Do you know why? Simple. Because God was
there as a witness when you spoke your marriage vows to your
young bride, and now you've broken those vows, broken the
faith-bond with your vowed companion, your covenant wife.
God, not you, made marriage. His Spirit inhabits even the
smallest details of marriage. And what does he want from
marriage? Children of God, that's what. So guard the spirit of
marriage within you. Don't cheat on your spouse.
