 Be familiar with NC State Law for the school system

 Make sure families have access to services they may need.

 Know each school policy

 Behavior 5.2
 Families may not have the money or transportation to receive the services for their children

 Attend home visits to talk to parents or guardians about why the child is missing so many days and

remind of the attendances policy

 Behavior 5.3
 Think about ways to advocate for children who miss many days of school

 Students can only miss 10 days of school

 Find services in the area for families who made need them
