Polycom VVX 300 Configuration:
In order to activate the external alarm system it is necessary to
configure the following options in Polycom phones:
1. Menu 
• Settings 
• Basics 
• Preferences 
• Audible Ringer 
• Headset (activate this option)
• Shortcut (Menu  Settings  Dial 1163 Select)
2. The VVX 300 ring volume level must be at least up to 70% high
Wire connections between Polycom & Algo:
1. From Polycom VVX 300 Headset port to Algo 2506
2. From Algo 2506 to Algo 8186 IN ports
3. From Algo 8186 OUT ports to Algo 1128 RELAY IN ports
Getting the Algo 8186 Horn IP Address (2 ways):
1. Shorting the “RESET” ports launch a voice message which spells the IP
2. Request the IP address to networking team by connecting each Horn
8186 to the network and providing its MAC address
Access to Algo 8186 configuration:
• Enter the Algo 8186 IP address into the Web Browser
• The default password is “algo”
Volumen level:
• In “Ring/Alert Volume” option select the preferred level
• “Save” changes
Input/Output & Ringtone:
• In “Relay Input Mode”: Select “Relay Normally Open” option
• In “Tone”: Select “bell-na.wav” option (this tone is the most similar to an analog phone tone)
• “Save” changes
Static IP:
• For future adjustments purpose, is highly recommendable to set a static IP
• “Save” changes the Reboot the Horn 8186
