U.SCRI was established in New York in 1911 by
Edith Terry Bremer. The organization was
originally called the International institute in
New York and was modeled after Jane Adams
Hull House.
Essentially the organization works to provide
WHAT IS refugee and advocate for peoples who have been
U.S.C.R.I? displaced and forcibly or voluntarily been
removed from their countries.

Works mostly with the Refugee population to
provide different services and help them in the
U.S.C.R.I NC resettlement process.
The North Carolina office offers legal,
employment, and translation services. They also
have case managers.
