INITIATIVES TAKEN BY INDIAN GOVERNMENT

 An all-party sent to Kashmir to meet the


leaders and to know reason fro unrest

 An 8 party initiative is put forward by the


government of India
8 POINT INITIATIVE
 Group of interlocutor appointed to hold meeting
with all section of society.
 State government would be advised to release all
student and youth arrested.
 Review the public safety Act and to withdraw
detention in appropriate cases
 Ex-gratia relief of 5 lakhs to be granted to families

 Appointment of special task forces for Ladakh and
Jammu to examine development in these
areas
 State government requested to reopen all schools,
colleges and universities and to take special
classes if necessary, to ensure exams to be
conducted for the year
 Grant of Rs 100 crores for development of school
colleges and infrastructure.
