HABITAT OF
MEGALODON
• The megalodon inhabited
the great oceans of our
world, being found in
America, Australia, Asia
and the Canary Islands in
Spain.
• It is believed that they were
raised in warm coastal
areas.
 FEEDING
OF MEGALODON
• I could hunt almost any
animal no matter how big it
was, feeding from great
whales to turtles or very
small fish.
• They were always looking
for food, being perhaps the
greatest carnivore in the
history of the Earth.
ITS EXTINCTION
• It is believed that the closure of
the maritime passage of
Central America , was
responsible for the extinction
of this animal
• The glaciation in the northern
hemisphere and the
subsequent fall in sea level
probably hampered its survival.
