 Definition
• Wind: It’s the draught that takes place in
the atmosphere for natural reasons. Then,
the wind, is a meteorological phenomenon
originated by the movements of rotation
and adjournment of the Earth.
 The action of
the wind
• In order that the wind exercises a geological
valuable action they must give the following
conditions:
 The existence of frequent winds and of
certain intensity
 The presence of sand and powder in the soil
The existence of dry soils and without
vegetation
 Scanty environmental dampness
How to make electricity by wind
• To make electricity by wind we use a
turbine.
According to the Wikipedia a turbine is:
• “A wind turbine is the popular name for a
device that converts kinetic energy from
the wind into electrical power.”
 Other information of interest
• The word “Aeolian” comes from the Greek
mythology. The god ‘Eolo’ has de power to
create winds and tempest.
