• To determine the Newton’s second law of motion in
making an improvised laboratory instrument.
• To construct an improvised laboratory instrument that
will help to demonstrate Newton’s second law of
motion.
• To show the relevance of being resourceful in
creating a laboratory instrument.

(For the Table)
1. Prepare all the needed materials.
2. Measure the plywood into 30 x 6.5 inches cut it using a saw.
3. For the bases, use hammer and nails. Cut the wood measuring
five (5) inches. Attach the four bases on the plywood. On the right
side, make sure that the plywood is slightly far from the edge of
the plywood.
4. Use screw and a screw driver to attach the pulley at the right side
of the plywood make sure the pulley is in the middle.
(For the Cart)
5. Prepare the plastic box, bottle caps, barbeque stick and
colored papers.
6. Make a two (2) small hole in each side of the plastic box. The
barbeque stick must be exactly fitted to the holes so the
measures of the hole is depending on the barbeque stick that
will be use.
7. Put the barbeque sticks inside the small hole.
8. For the wheel of the cart, attach the four bottle caps in the
barbeque sticks within each sides. Attach the string in the
front of the cart and make sure it is in the middle.
9. Put a hook on the other end of the string.
