EXAMINATION OF MONEY
1. ULTRAVIOLET
LIGHT
the serial
number on the
left end of the bill
glows in
fluorescent green
and the
fluorescent
security
threads appear.

Palm Civet emerge
in fluorescent
yellow and red, and
the fluorescent

threads appear.
2. WATERMARK • A replica of the face
on the bill.
• It is only visible when
you hold it up to the

3. PAPER • Rough
• It does not glow
under UV light
• Made up of 80%
cotton and 20%
abaca
4. SECURITY FIBERS • Red and blue
visible fibers are
scattered
5. SECURITY THREADS
- is a special thread
vertically implanted off
center of the note during
paper manufacture
- It appears as a broken
line for 5’s, 10’s and 20’s
and straight line for 50’s,
100’s, 200’s , 500’s and
1000’s.
