Supporting Test with Clinical

Pathology
HbA1c
HbA1c is now formally endorsed in many countries as a
diagnostic test for (type 2) diabetes as well as for monitoring, although
some debate still continues regarding its applicability for diagnosis.
Analysis of glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) in blood provides
evidence about an individual’s average blood glucose levels during the
previous two to three months, which is the predicted half-life of red
blood cells (RBCs). The HbA1c is now recommended as a standard of
care (SOC) for testing and monitoring diabetes, specifically the type 2
diabetes

Complete Blood Counting
Whole blood test or complete blood count (CBC) is a
comparatively inexpensive but powerful diagnostic tool in a variety of
hematological and non-hematological conditions.
CBC is a window into the functional status of the bone marrow,
the factory producing all blood elements. It easily obtained, easily
performed, relatively cheap and serial measurements can evaluate
response to therapy.
