System
Circulatory system is divided
in 3 major parts
The heart Blood vessels

The heart
the pulmonary circuit carries blood
to the lungs to be oxygenated and
then back to the heart.

the systemic circuit carries blood


around the body to deliver the
oxygen and returns de-
oxygenated blood to the heart.

Mitral valve-
lies on the left
atrium and the
left ventricle
Systole is an ancient medical term first understood as a
gathering of blood and later contraction of the heart.
More recently it is understood as a Force that drives blood
out of the heart. Without qualifiers, it usually means the
contraction of the left ventricle
diastole is the period during which the
atria are relaxing.
