Piping Isometric

 Isometric is also called a “spool drawing”. It shows the

piece in three-dimensions (length, width and depth) and
it shows both horizontal and vertical planes and drawn
on a 30 angle grid axis.

 Piping isometrics are not drawn to scale. However,

there would be some semblance of proportion between
the various runs of pipe. A run 4 feet long should be
shown longer than a run 2 feet long.

 The purpose of “Stress Sketch Isometric is to provide

the stress engineer with a complete system that affect
piping flexibility of that system.

 To show that the stress engineer performed the

required calculation of the complete system, his
comments, stamp and signature appears on the sketch.
