What We Will Learn:

This week we will begin a new unit in our Language Arts curriculum. Our unit’s
Essential Question is “How do people create stories?” Our phonics skill for the
week will be the consonant digraphs th, sh, and ng.

We will be starting Module 3 in math this week. We are skipping over Module 2
for now, and coming back to it after we finish Mod. 3. Module 3 is all about
measurement; this week’s focus will be on comparing lengths. In Writer’s
Workshop, students will be continuing to learn about crafting Non-Fiction
Chapter books or “teaching books”.

Homework:
Please note that we are working from Module 3 lessons.
Monday: Home Reading and Module 3, Lesson 1, p. 287 & 288.
Tuesday: Home Reading and Module 3, Lesson 3, p. 301 & 302.
Wednesday: Home Reading and Module 3, Lesson 4, p. 307 - 309.
Thursday: Home Reading and Module 3, Lesson 5, p. 313 - 315.
Friday: Home Reading only 
