A tender document is a document that
contains all information required by the
contractors to estimate the cost of the
offered project.

The tender document consists of:
• Contract form
• Tender acceptance form
• Working standard specification
• Bills of quantities
• Working drawing
• Schedule of rate
• Letter of acceptance

Estimating
Estimating is prepared in two stages.
•The first stage is prepared when the
project is in the proposal stage.
Estimating in this stage is known as
pre-contract estimating. Pre contract
estimating is a gross estimation. If the
pre-contract estimating is less than the
allocation, the project can be continued
to the detail planning stage.

• The second stage of estimating is a


post-contract estimating done after the
contract is awarded to the selected
contractor. All payments are paid after
the project is completed.

• Measuring is a process of evaluating
items from prepared working drawing
and noting it down in the bills of
quantities form. This evaluation is to
obtain the items quantity in specified
unit.
