• Obrenovac was covered with water within
couple of hours. Level of water was above rooftops of small houses and above ground levels of higher buildings
• Evacuation lasted for 3 days and involved
Mountain Rescue Service, Police and Military special forces and helicopter units, civil engineering companies, volunteers Flood in Obrenovac
• 13.603 persons were evacuated from
Obrenovac. People who had nowhere to go were placed in collective centers in military facility „Bora Marković“, hotel TENT and in Belgrade collective centers.
• Collective centar in hotel had worked over
a year. High number of hotel inhabitants stayed in hotel TENT till its evaction because they lost almost everything in floods and had nowhere to go. SOS CV Emergency Relief Program • Mobile team was formed soon after floods stopped.
• MT had aim to visit as much as possible
flood affected areas and to, through game and fun, give psycho-social support to children.
• Its acomplishment is: 134 activities on 32
location with more than 2.600 children involved.
• Since today MT managed to drive 17.000 km
on flood affected areas all over Serbia
• Now MT team continue its work in 10
municipalities. Aim is to point on local problems and to involve government, NGOs and all people with good will on creating solutions SOS CV Emergency Relief Program
• SOS CV Serbia saw a need for establishing
Safe Place for Children in hotel TENT and in SC centar Kolubara in Lazarevac.
• Aim was to give psycho-social and educative
support to children who were in collective acomodation. SPC created a safe atmosphere for children where they were able to express their full potential and for a moment forget about floods.
• SPC teams managed to give support to 311
children who were daily accomodated in Safe Places during May floods. SOS CV Emergency Relief Program
• Finaly we formed two CFRC teams in
Lazarevac and in Obrenovac
• Aim was to give psycho-social, educative,
material, health and other forms of support.
• Case managers reached 30 cases each which
is allowed maximum of cases per case manager. Total number of families who got any kind of support is 405
• We are connected with local government
and with almost all NGOs on both places
• Our services are recognized and approved in

poverty
• Floods made more children and youngsters
depressed and apatic and left lots of adults without hope
• One year after, beside our effort, for lots of
children and families still life is not back to normal
• All of NGOs after a couple of months of
