‫على خالف غيرها من نظم التصنيف الدولية ‪ ،‬يطلق على أعلى مستوى من الشهادات المسمى «خضراء» بدال من «البالتين»‪ .‬على سبيل المثال ‪ ،‬لرفع الوعي ‪ ،‬وتأكيد أن الهدف النهائي هو‬
‫تعزيز حقيقة أن المستوى األقيم هو الوصول إلى« األخضر‪».‬‬

Registry of db_arz Rated Buildings &
Registered Projects in Lebanon
Lebanon Green Building Council is excited to
announce that BLC Headquarters building of
3900 m2 is the first db_arz rated building
meeting a credible score in green building and
performance measures and is awarded the
db_arz Bronze Certificate.

The Jordan Green Building Guide (JGBG)
technical committee was established in 200
The JGBG was issued in 2013, and it became
available to everyone to use. An incentive
program for the adoption of green building in
Jordan based on the JGBG rating system was
approved in 2015 and it was launched on the
3rd of September 2015. And the first building
under the JGBG requirements is under
development.
Qatar’s revamped its QSAS green building
rating system. Re-launched under a new
name, the Global Sustainability Assessment
System (GSAS) is muscling in as Middle East-
North Africa’s green standard. Developed by
the Gulf Organization for Research and
Development (GORD) in collaboration with
the University of Pennsylvania’s T.C. Chan
Center for Building Simulation and Energy
Studies, the original QSAS melded criteria
bespoke to Qatar with established green
benchmarking systems, creating a
performance-based scheme customized to the
unique requirements of this rapidly developing
Gulf state.

Pearl Building Rating System
The aim of the Pearl Building Rating System (PBRS) is to promote the development of
sustainable buildings and improve quality of life. Achievement of a sustainable building requires
the integration of the four pillars of Estidama together with a collaborative and inter-
disciplinary approach to building development known as the Integrated Development Process.
The PBRS encourages water, energy and waste minimiazation, local material use and aims to
improveSUPPLY CHAINS for sustainable and recycled materials and products.
An Executive CouncilORDER of May 2010 states all new buildings must meet the 1
Pearl requirements starting in September 2010, whilst all government funded buildings must
achieve minimum 2 Pearls. Following this mandate, significant effort has been made to align
the PBRS with the Abu Dhabi Development and Building Codes.
