Introduction
• Project will Focus on simplified analysis method to predict the
effects of overload vehicles.
• With the rapid development of current logistics industry, the
question of transport vehicles overloading is becoming more
and more serious.
• Overloaded vehicles will cause extensive damage to the road.
• Huge economic losses to society, which seriously threaten
traffic safety.
• Overloaded Vehicles also causes Damage to the Bridges and
hence reduces their lifetime.
Need For the System
CONSTRUCTION:-
• In this 6-volt battery is connected in parallel with DC motor
and from one side of the motor is connected with buzzer
• and the other side of the motor is connected with load sensor.
• And the motor is connected with the rotating disc (the
measuring scale which show the load weight).
• The buzzer is next connected with another second motor and
the second motor is connected with load sensor and thus
complete the circuit.
WORKING PROCEDURE:-
• When the over load vehicle is pass from the bridge so that the
overload gap between the load sensor get decrease.
• As then the load cap come in contact the circuit get
completed.
• The load sensor detects the heavy load vehicle going from the
bridge.
• And as the motor 1 get operates and the disc starts rotating so
that the measuring scale show the load weight and the
overload vehicle gets stopped. In this way overload vehicle
Detector with barrier restriction works. And then suddenly
the barrier gets shut down with the help of second motor.
APPLICATIONS:-
• Transportation / Carriage charges: Checking cost of transportation by weighing
shipments prior to loading, using a hanging crane load cell.
• Avoiding truck overload fines by weighing the loaded goods with hanging scales.
• A wireless hanging crane scale with radio transmitter (radio link) is especially
suitable for high temperature applications
• Using hoist hanging scales for weighing loads in real time during manufacturing
processes while lifting, where loads were previously sent to truck scales.
• Weighing parts using low headroom industrial crane scales, by either telemetry or
cable, for stock control and advanced stock management.
• Most often, safety assessments are used as part of the permit review
process for oversize/overweight (OS/OW) movements to verify the safety
of bridges along the permitted vehicle’s intended route.
• Bridge safety assessments use the permit vehicle as the live load reference
effectively eliminating any uncertainty related to loading.
• In France and Slovenia, calibrated influence lines derived from bridge WIM
systems are routinely used to calculate the safety of a particular bridge
under OS/OW loading using the vehicle’s exact axle loading and axle
spacing.
• In this way this model works and we avoid this overload problem or
condition.
• Thus we all have studied this project by knowing all its advantages,
application, working mechanism, future scopes.
