Automobile Industry with the combination of both Indian
Automobiles and International Automobiles.

2 Horses had dreams of them since time immemorial, but it was only in the 18th
century that the first horseless carriage actually hit the roads. Seeds of this idea
actually originated only through horses which intended them to invent HORSELESS
CARRIAGES!

2 The ¦  of the automobile actually began about 4,000 years ago when the first
wheel was used for transportation in India.

2 Carl Benz and Gotttlieb Daimler (both Germans) for their efforts laid the foundation
of the great motor industry as we know it today. ½irst, Carl Benz invented the petrol
engine in 1885 and a year later Daimler made a car driven by motor of his own
design and the rest is ¦ .

2 The first automobile to carry passengers was built in 1801 by the British
inventor Richard Trevithick. His initial success was based on the M


   of his power unit, which was the first to have the
piston moved by steam at high pressure. Earlier power units had pistons that
moved as a result of atmospheric pressure against the vacuum produced by the
condensation of steam.

2 The first internal-combustion engine was designed by the Dutch scientist
Christian Huygens in 1678; it was to have been fueled with gunpowder, but it
was never built.

2 In 2008, more than 70 million motor vehicles, including
cars and commercial vehicles were produced world wide.

2 Around the world, there were about 806 million


automotives on the road and they burn over 260 billion
gallons of gasoline and fuel yearly.

Kia Automotive Group, is the world¶s fourth largest automaker in terms of
units sold.

2 In 1996, ¦     was established with a production


plant in Irrungattukatoi near Chennai, India.

2 Chung Ju-Yung founded the Hyundai Engineering and Construction


Company in 1947. Hyundai Motor Company was later established in 1967.
The company¶s first model, the Cortina, was released in cooperation with

2 Bajaj Auto came into existence on November 29, 1945 as M/s Bachraj
Trading Corporation Private Limited. It started off by selling imported two-
and three-wheelers in India. In 1959, it obtained license from the

Italy. ½ounded by Enzo ½errari in 1928 as
   ½ , the company
sponsored drivers and manufactured race cars before moving into
production of street-legal vehicles in 1947 as ½errari S.p.A.. Throughout its
history, the company has been noted for its continued participation in
racing, especially in ½ormula One, where it has enjoyed great success.

2 Thus, Automobile Industry is that ± The carriage that moves on
its own!!!

2 We can even conclude that, the dream a carriage that moved on


its own was realized only in the 18th century when the first car
rolled on the streets. Steam, petroleum gas, electricity or petrol
(sold at the chemist's in the beginning) started being used for
driving these funny car s that looked more or less like horseless
carriages.
