Experiment No 1
• To Find the Abrasion value of Crushed particles by using Jaw Crusher

• Mesh Number
• Importance of Abrasion Value
Abrasion Value
• Abrasion is the process of scratching, wearing down or rubbing away
• A measure of fineness of a mesh: the numerical value indicates
the number of openings per linear inch. The smaller the mesh number, the
larger particles can pass through the mesh.
• Abrasion testing is a necessity for manufacturers who are interested in
producing high-quality products with a long lifespan.
• The primary reason companies conduct abrasion resistance tests is to
ensure they are producing a quality product that is free from defects;
consistent in performance; and will endure throughout its life cycle.

• Blake crusher-the swing jaw is fixed at the upper position
• Dodge crusher-the swing jaw is fixed at the lower position
• Universal crusher-the swing jaw is fixed at an intermediate position
