INTRODUCTION
Breakfast is never completed without a coffee or a chocolaty drink. The latter is
more preferred by students especially to the kids. Two brands of this drink are often
compared: Milo and Ovaltine. Thus, it is important to find out what does one possess
which the other do not.
Milo brand is the world’s leading chocolate malt beverage that can be prepared
with hot or cold milk or water. It offers essential vitamins and minerals to meet the
nutrition and energy demands of young bodies and minds. Launched in Australia in
1934, its name was derived from Milon (600 BC), a champion athlete of ancient Greek
mythology. He was renowned for his feats of strengths which was the inspiration why
Milo is also used as energy drink.
On the other hand, Ovaltine, which is originally known as Ovomaltine is another
brand of milk flavoring product popularized in the market in 1904. It was invented by
George Wander in Bern, Switzerland and when he died, his son Albert Wander modified
the product and released in the market. It was basically sold as nourishing bedtime
drink.

STATEMENT OF THE
PROBLEM
This study attempts to differentiate Milo and Ovaltine with the same company.
It aims to determine which was better than the other in different parameters. This study
discussed the specification of each brand.
Specifically, this study sought to answer the following questions:
1.)Which product of Nestle has the best flavor:
a. Milo,
b. Ovaltine?
2.)What do you think is the reason why Ovaltine has less sugar level than Milo?
a. Milo has more malt
b. The company changes the ingredients of Ovaltine
3.) Which of these two product do you prefer when it comes to availability:

a. Milo , b. Ovaltine?

4.) Where did you learned about these products?

a. Television
b. Radio
c. Newspaper
d. Flyers
e. Ads
f. Social media
From the results obtained during the survey, the researchers concluded that
Ovaltine still has the potential to gain back its popularity in the market as it is used to
before.
Likewise, the marketing strategies will also be improved as compared from the
adversary product, Milo, wherein there are a lot of creative ways it was marketed. This
involves often showing on commercials on national television, creating posters and even
billboards after a good outcome starts to sprout to the new business, and even product
endorsing from prominent people as well.
Most importantly, the new version of Ovaltine will be improved in its taste,
texture, sweetness, and overall goodness with the help of food analysts and suggestions
obtained from the respondents. This will be done under the licensure and approval of a
local health and food facility until it will reach a national level to secure the health and
wellness of the consumers.
In these ways, the researchers believe that Ovaltine will be renewed in a way
that its former consumer will never give up again when it comes to chocolate drinks.
