• Importance of Setting the Priorities (Set
your priorities not in isolation but align
with your boss priorities and inturn with
Org priority)
• How important becomes urgent & urgent

• MORAL 1 – Slow and Steady wins the race.

• MORAL 2 – Fast and Consistent will always beat slow


and steady. Its good to be Slow & Steady; but its better
to be Fast & Consistent, also!

• MORAL 3 – First identify you Core Competency and then


change the playing field to suit your core competency.

• MORAL 4 – Teamwork is mainly about situational


leadership, letting the person with the relevant core
competency for a situation to take the leadership.
Role of Planning
• Planners V/s Doers
• Doers cannot do anything by themselves in
isolation. To get the desired results Doers need
Roadmap. Remember any bldg is made first on
Paper & then in Reality. Remember Unplanned
action cannot give desired result
• Patience in planning & Impatience in execution is
the key to success.
• Today’s planning is no planning
• Advance planning is the only planning
• Today’s planning is nothing but Execution planning

• When do you get maximum speed while driving????

(changeovers/gatting/knotting/style change) should
be taken in to consideration while planning any
activity ( T&A )
• Planning reduces Changeover which in turn
increases the speed and efficiency

Input Output theory

• Any Input will always generate some


output.
• Planned input will ensure DESIRED
output.
• Eg BS Processing highest production
recorded in 28.80 lac mtrs in July
but no advancement for shipment
and we struggled for on time in full
shipment in sheeting.
• Importance of Throughput.
Process Orientation
• Talk in the language what customer
understands.
• Eg: If customer gives order in Pc in towel, then
why do we talk prod report in tons. Shipment
goes with the same units as specified by
customer in purchase order.
• Customer is concerned with OTIF and
quality product. He is not much concerned
with internal/external arrangements
• Process ensure consistency in results.
• System should be more Process Orientated
rather than People Orientated
• Win Win Situation
• Eg: Customer wants quality but goods also
Tips for effective working
• Consistency means slow & study
wins the race. Play a Big inning.
• Encourage dreaming because
Successful peoples had dreamt.
• Effective communication
• Timing is important (Wrong report &
right time is okay but right report at
wrong time is not effective).
• Keep Right attitude (eg of two kids
failing)
• I M Possible.
• Action Generates Reaction
Tips for effective working
• Learn to say no…Be firm but polite
• If you have only two hands you
cannot spare one for others.
• Don’t be in hurry but try to be in
advance. Adjust your watch 15
minutes advance.
• Always knock the right door, if you
want right help at right time.
• Make sure that nobody knows better
more than u about your work .
• We are not here to please anybody.
• There is no shortcut to success.
