GUIDANCE CENTER

The Guidance Center operates as a


support service to both academic and
non-academic needs of the students.
Its goals and objectives are in line
with the Vision-Mission of the
University.
To realize the Vision-Mission of Father
Saturnino Urios University, the following
goals are designed:
 Provide services geared towards the promotion
of the optimum growth and development of the
student learners;
 Develop decision-makers that can stand the
test of accountability;
 Provide assessment and feedback to the school
and community that will help develop the
unique potentials of the student learners;
 Complements the academic training of the
students so that they will become balanced,
integrated, happy and formed individuals.
 To help the
students know,
understand and
adjust to the
school
environment
that they are in.
 To help the
students
become capable
of self-direction,
sound judgment,
and self-
understanding.
 To assist the
students in
identifying needs
and appropriate
services to
present problems
 To aid students in
choosing the
course fitted to
their capabilities
for a predictable
success in life.
 To help the
students know
themselves better
through the use of
standardized tests
instruments.
 To provide
specialized
assistance to
students when
problems are not
within the scope
of counselors’
resources.
 To provide
continuing
research and
assessment
concerning
program
operation.
 A special program
purposely designed for
students. It consists of
varied activities to help
students become aware
of the school
environment and self,
and prepare them for
life after school.
 To reach and serve
more students in the
University, Guidance
Center selects and
trains students with
greater potential for
establishing peer
helping relationships.
 This program is
provided to teachers
to update and
enhance their skills
in identifying and
handling students
especially those
needing immediate
attention.
