INTRODUCTION

 In renewable energy sources generation by solar

panels based on micro inverters are gaining
popularity according to their efficiency
 Comparing flyback pv microinverter to traditional
inverter and its compensation of partial shading
 As a control scheme for pv micro inverters DDS is
implemented according to their flexibility

PV Cell Array And Modules

 Photo voltaic system

PV Cell Array And Modules

 As a single module is insufficient to fulfill the needs of

practical loads, consequently an array is formed by
connection of the modules.
 Many similar blocks of single solar cell units constitute
to form a PV array
MPPT Controller Techniques

 Maximum power transfer controller for pv panels array by

MPPT
 Basic MPPT system

 MPPT or Maximum Power Point Tracking is algorithm that

included in charge controllers used for extracting
maximum available power from PV module under certain
conditions
MPPT Controller Techniques
Flyback Microinverter

 For the micro-inverter applications, the inverter is put behind the

PV panel with connection at the input side, and the output side
is connected with the grid

Flyback Microinverter

 Three functions should be realized simultaneously by the

micro-inverter
High gain voltage raising

 There are various inverter topologies suitable for
microinverter applications based on
Different consideration referance
Power processing stages
DDS Technique

 A standalone pv inverter has been designed and

implemented based on frequency synthesizing
technique called DDS
 DDS provides flexibilty in the implementation of
controlschemes such as MPPT, phase locked loop,
anti-islanding, and low-voltage ride-though (LVRT),
with an integrated software run on a simple
microcontroller.
Analysis of simulation

 The proposed PV micro inverter system is analyzed to

illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control
scheme. In order to validate the proposed topology,
simulation is carried out using the Matlab/Simulink
Block Diagram For Simulation
Analysis of simulation

 Pv cells generate elcetricity in DC quantity and we are

considering the irradiance constant as 100 and the
temperature as 25 c
 I pv and v pv are photovoltaic current and
photovoltaic voltage respectively of dc quantities
which can vary by change in temperature
 The output of pv array is needed to be boosting
before unfolding bridge operation
Analysis of simulation

 For this we are using flyback converters instead of

boosting devices
 By using flyback converters it will help to maintain the
synchronism between pv array output which is
boosted and unfolding bridge to maintain constant
voltage with out any surges
 Unfolding bridge converts DC quantity to AC
Analysis of simulation

 The controlling scheme used for unfolding bridge is

pulse width modulation technique
 The controlling scheme used for flyback converter is
MPPT by considering their applications
 The output of MPTT is referred by sine wave
Analysis of simulation

 In standalone operation mode of the flyback microinverter,

the reference sine wave signal is obtained internally and
the associated duty cycle samples are generated for one
complete period of the output voltage
 Theunfolding bridge gate signals and corresponding
output voltage waveform of the flyback microinverter
there is a slight change inwhich occur in the output voltage
waveform result from the output capacitor of the flyback
converter

Conclusion

 DDS technique has applied to the design and

implemented of flyback pv microinverter
 All the necessary features of a modern pv
microinverter such as MPPT for grid connection
 Response time of the pv microinverter against an
output power change from 10% to 100% of full load
and time less than 40 microsec with this technique
 The proposed scheme is found to be convenient for
use in module integrated converter applications
