Yeti Airlines Domestic Pvt. Ltd
- Established in May 1998
- Its corporate office is situated in Tilganga, Airport Road
- Received Air Operators Certificate on 17th August 1998
- Is the parent company of Tara Air
- Offers domestic flights to 10 destinations within Nepal
- INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS:
• In 2007: launched FLY YETI as a joint venture with Air Arabia
but due to political uncertainity it has to stop its operation in
2008.
• In 2014: launched Himalayan Airlines, another joint venture
with Chinese Tibet Airlines
- Incidents & Accidents:
• crashed twice at Lukla Airport in 2004 & 2008
• Recently in 2016 Yeti Airlines overran the runway of
Gautam Buddha Airport of Bhairahawa

- Established in 23rd April 1996
- Its corporate office is in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur
- Received Air Operators Certificate on 11th October 1997
- Is the parent company of Tara Air
- Offers domestic flights to 12 destinations within Nepal
- INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS:
• In 2010: Buddha Air became first foreign airline to start flight to Paro,
Bhutan
- Incidents & Accidents:
• In 1998 it crashed at Ktm Airport while attempting to land
• In 2011 it crashed at Mt Everest
- Achievements & Awards:
• In 2006 Government of Nepal, Ministry of Culture, Tourism
and Civil Aviation awarded Buddha Air for the Highest Safety
Record on the occasion of International Civil Aviation Day
