SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES

• To study about the pre engineered building

• To prepare a model for PEB building

• To understand design & analysis of PEB Building using software

• To design the section & connections

• To understand basic concept to fabrication and erection of Conventional

Steel Building (CSB) & pre engineered building (PEB)

• To suggest advantages over the Conventional Steel Building (CSB)

concept of buildings with roof truss.

INTRODUCTION

 Pre Engineered Buildings (PEB). Pre-engineered buildings are

nothing but steel buildings in which excess steel is avoided by
tapering the sections as per the bending moment’s requirement.

 If we go for regular steel structures, time frame will be
more, and also cost will be more, and both together i.e.
time and cost, makes it uneconomical.
 pre-engineered buildings, the total design is done in the
factory, and as per the design, members are pre-fabricated
and then transported to the site where they are erected in a
time less than 7 to 9 weeks

LITERATURE REVIEW
C. M. Meera June 2013. This paper effectively conveys
that PEB structures can be easily designed by simple
design procedures in accordance with country standards.
In light of the study, it can be concluded that PEB
structures are more advantageous than CSB structures in
terms of cost effectiveness, quality control speed in
construction and simplicity in erection. The paper also
imparts simple and economical ideas on preliminary
design concepts of PEBs.

RAJAT PALYA(2017) different section to find out the
best section which will be cost effective, economical and
easily available.
In this study weight is determined, here results
shows that angel section is more economical.
The difference in weight is approx. 35% which is
really beneficial for a developing country
This deduction in cost is not disturbing the load
carrying capacity of structure.
Implementation of sections is as per practical use
so that we can practically implement it.
