INTRODUCTION
India today is Asia’s fast growing developed
economy, advancing faster on the global
scenario to become a super power. The
future of India lies with its young, strong-
willed entrepreneurs and the spirit with
which this community takes off decides the
future standing of this great nation. Thus
this paper will concentrate on how the spirit
of entrepreneurship can make India a super
power.

Super power economy

Alice
 Lyman Miller (Professor of National Security Affairs
at the Naval Postgraduate School), defines a superpower as
"a country that has the capacity to project dominating
power and influence anywhere in the world, and
sometimes, in more than one region of the globe at a time,
and so may plausibly attain the status of global hegemony."

Recently China has had an annual GDP (gross domestic

product) rate of six percent. Economists believe that it is
likely that they will come in after the United States to get
the second place position as the largest economy in the
world.

Role of entrepreneurs in making India a super power economy

Entrepreneurs are people who do things,

which are not generally done in the ordinary
course of a business. It is not surprising that
every fortune 500 Enterprise in existence is
the result of an entrepreneur's enterprise and
perseverance. Entrepreneurs, according to Karl
Vasper, are pillars of industrial strength –the
movers and shakers who constructively disrupt
status quo

ENTERPRENEURS TO FOCUS ON
Employment
Industrialset-up
Women empowerment
Boosting the exports and curtailing the
imports
Innovation
Infrastructure
R&D
Fighting corruption
Sponsoring higher education 5
Conclusion

India may not become an economic

superpower as long as it doesn't mobilize
more labor force to industry and does not
educate people which is a key to
improving productivity thus creating more
added value per capita. In this regard
entrepreneurs have a vital role to play.
