Practically a university won’t allow a student to

create a virus that could affect all workstations. According to Kevin Judge a computer virus is a
malicious program that self-replicates by copying itself to another program. In other words, the
computer virus spreads by itself into other executable code or documents. The purpose of
creating a computer virus is to infect vulnerable systems, gain admin control and steal user
sensitive data. Hackers design computer viruses with malicious intent and prey on online users
by tricking them. According to Roderick Hames, computer viruses is the result of a destructive
program that someone is written and placed inside a computer program which unsuspecting
people then place in their computer system. Some of the viruses erase all the information from
the place where it's stored. Also, it is forbidden by the law, for viruses purposely harms any
devices. According to John Markoff many computer users may not notice that their machines
have been infected. It might operate in the background, using infected computer to send
spam or infect other computers, or it might steal the PC user's personal information. According
to Lorna Patajo-Kapunan in R.A NO. 8792 or the Electronic Commerce Act, is a law that covers
the ways of the technology and its role to the society of the Philippines. Its Section 33 letter A
states that any unauthorized access to any computer system that intents to corrupt, destruct,
and alter the system is a penalty that has a minimum fine of 100,000 pesos and a mandatory
imprisonment from 3-6 years. This concludes that using the internet is like going to a new world,
but nevertheless, it's run by our current world that the values and norms of the society and the
laws of the government are still applied and used to guide and have an organized system. If
