 INTRODUCTION

 In today’s world the numbers of mobile users are increasing and a lot of
applications, and services generate a lot of data, and information to mobile users.

 These mobile users are professional people who can be executive, students,
service engineers, teachers, etc.

 In general everyone is becoming a mobile service user.

 Our team member will build a productivity application named android based

 School management system (often abbreviated as SMS systems) is a system

for education establishments to manage staff and students data.

 School Management System(SMS) consists of tasks such as registering

students, attendance record keeping to control absents, producing report cards,
producing official transcript, preparing timetable and producing different reports
for teachers, parents.

 The School management system can handle all details about a students and
teachers.

 School Management System is managed by an administrator. It is the job of the
administrator to insert, update and monitor the whole process.
 School Management System is software which is helpful for students and
student parents as well as the school authorities.

 Our School Management System deals with the various activities related to the
students, Parents and teachers.

 Administrator has the powerful to add new user and can edit, delete a user.

 A students can view his profile if he is authorized. The administrator can add
edit and delete marks for the student and also all students can see the marks.
 PROBLEM STATEMENT

 In many school management system uses traditional way of work experience

actually in the 21th century it’s very shamed in way of work strategy.
 The data in this system are kept manually especially after the end of every
semester which makes it difficult to search data after a good number of years
when a student need to know some of his details.
 It takes time to search on the pile (large) of files.
 Teachers may want to associate a student with his parent or emergency persons
for disciplinary measures which need searching of the students record in the
record office.

management system.

 The system will capture information about student’s personal details Teacher
and the courses and also allows storing, updating and retrieving in a fast and
accurate way.
 The extent in which the problem can be treated by volume is very wide but our
proposed system will automate the partial service of the organization.

LIMITATIONS OF THE PROJECT

 Our proposed system supports School Management System have some limitations
such as:
 The student or parents are not capable to pay online.
 The system do not generate timetable, annual calendar for the School by itself.
 Generate official record with some level of difficulty.
 System do not work offline.
 Systems such as club management, sports and recreation amenities, and other services
that are not explicitly mentioned in the scope are not included in the study.
 METHODOLOGY

There are various methods for gathering requirements; among them we

use the following methodology for data collection.
 INTERVIEWING
 The developers use a one to one interview mechanism to gather most of the
requirements.
 We prepare the interview questions which most of them are open ended
questions to enable the client to start talking freely.
 After preparing the questions the developers pay a visit to the school and sit
down with the director of the school for interview, and also the crew interview and
capture photos with some of the students we get outside in the class.

 We observe the main functionality of the existing system by visiting the school.

TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY

 The study of resource availability that may affects the ability to achieve an
acceptable system.
 This evaluation determines whether the technology needed for the proposed
system is available or not.
 This is concerned with specifying equipment and software that will
successfully satisfy the user requirement.
 When we decided to develop the project we went through an extensive study
to determine the most suitable platform that suits the needs of the organization
as well as helps in development of the project.

 It must have an interactive graphical user interface that assists school
member no other. This means the android application include beginner
user and knowledgeable user or expert user.

 Easy to debug and maintain.

 Is a measure of cost effectiveness of a project and also used to identify the benefits and costs
concerning the project.
 Economic feasibility are cost benefit analysis.
 Economic feasibility addresses the following things:-
a) Tangible benefit: is a benefit that can easily be quantified in terms of birr (cost). Our
system will provide tangible benefits such as increasing the school service giving
activities.
Tangible benefits will fit the following classes:
 Reduce cost for manual data management. Example paper, ink, pen.
 Reduce cost for employers by reducing number of employers.
 Reduce cost for advertising for vacancy application.

 OPERATIONAL FEASIBILITY

 This project is surely operationally feasible because the proposed system (the
project) is a good solution maker of the problem or specific solution will work in
the existing system and create a good environment towards the user of our
software.
 The organizational management may not be fully support this project because
of the new proposed system contains new things that may difficult for the
application of this project.
 The system is operationally feasible as it very easy for the End users to operate
it.
 It only needs basic information about the platform who used the system.

 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PROJECT

 The significance of the study is to create android based School management system that
will provide services to customers and easy to use.
 School management is working with semi-computerized system which is time
consuming and costly.
 The importance of this project is to solve such kinds of problems within the school by
developing SMS.
 Now a days we are living in an information age, so everything is changed from the
manual system to automated system, which makes everything simple, interactive, time
saving and requires less storage space for allocating resources.
