Procurement Activities:
- Supplier Management – Search, Negotiation, Selection
- Supply Chain Management – How to bring material/equipment to work
site?
- Custom Clearance – A document given by customs to a shipper to show
that customs duty has been paid and the goods can be shipped
- Logistic Support – Arrangement of vehicles and drivers etc.
- Warehousing – Storage of material and equipment, temporary
arrangement, tagging and coding, shelving and cataloguing
- PMIS – Invoice related data entry into the system.

Five Cycles of Procurement
A). Requirement Cycle:
Assessment of project needs and requirements.
B). Requisition Cycle:
Requisition form is sent to procurement.
C). Solicitation Cycle:
Adds, negotiations, tenders and bidding etc.
D). Award Cycle – Signing of a contract
Types:
i). Cost plus percentage fee.
ii). Fixed price.
E). Contract Administration Cycle – Contract violation
monitoring, changing orders, payments and closeout.
