INTRODUCTION:
Vehicle Insurance or Motor Insurance is insurance of cars, trucks, motorcycle and other road vehicles. The
primary use of an insurance is to provide financial assistance and protection against physical damage resulting
from traffic collisions. It may also provide assistance towards theft of the vehicle or towards any damage
incurred by the vehicle other than from a traffic collision. The terms and policies of an insurance policy varies
from company to company or from region to region.
Vehicle insurance is further divided into:
1. Car insurance
2. Commercial vehicle insurance
3. Two-wheeler insurance
Motor insurance is also mandatory by the law. It is a legal requirement in India to have insured a minimal level
of insurance protection before driving any motor vehicle.
OBJECTIVE OF OUR RESEARCH:
1. Primary Objective: To find out the top ranked vehicle insurance cover company in
Jorhat.
2. Secondary Objective: To find out why people are actually not switching from their
vehicle insurance company.

METHODOLOGY:
The target region of our research is Jorhat Town. Our sample size will be 30 – 40
and the survey will be on Four wheeler vehicle insurance.
For data collection we will create a questionnaire and will distribute it randomly in
a car parking zone in Jorhat town.

HYPOTHESIS:
From our preliminary survey we found that Bajaj Allianz Vehicle insurance
company is the top ranked vehicle insurance company in Jorhat and we think that
the maybe the policies of the company is very customer friendly and people are
highly aware of the company compare to others.
