INTRODUCTION

 Online trading involves investment activity which takes place over the internet
and it does not require physical inclusion of the broker.

 An investor has to register with an online trading portal like ICICI direct .com,
motilaloswal.com, sharekhan.com and many companies like that and investor
gets into an agreement with the firm to trade in different securities according to
the terms and conditions given on the agreement.

 Two types:
 1.Bank - backed firm
 2.Entrepreneur – floated firm
OBJECTIVES

 To Gain knowledge regarding to growth and development of


online trading in HASSAN

• To understand the customer perception towards online trading

 To get to know the type of technology used by firms and by the


customer in online trading

• To determine what type of products the customers deal while


doing online trading.
LITERATURE REVIEW

 GOLDBERG. S.T (1999) The online brokerage industry is


growing up. Online brokers have generally stopped lowering their
prices in the past year or so, but they have added services.

 JAISWAL M. VASHIST D and KUMAR A “Online trading:


Trading at the speed of Light” traces the growth of online trading
from the year 2000 using statistics on volume of online trading
number of e-broking firms' brokerages and demographic patterns.
Online trading has dramatically changed the way stock business
has been conducted over the years.
LITERATURE REVIEW

 Nidhiwalia and Ravinder kumar (2007) proposed that online


trading is all about cost saving. However majority of Indian
investors have not realized its benefits so it only targets the
educated investors.

 Arwinder singh (2010) claimed that online trading is highly


beneficial and cheap in terms of money and time. Certain
alterations are however required to make it more fruitful.
LITERATURE REVIEW

 Sarika Srivastava (2013) examined the impact of internet on


online trading. She remarked on the availability of high speed
internet that can remove all hassles related to the field as it is a
major problem.

 Dr A Abdhul Rahim (2013) discovered the pitfalls related to


online trading. He suggested that investors should be protected
from all hassles and problems so as to remain confident while
trading online.

 The primary objective of this study is to gain knowledge


of growth of online trading. Many researchers have
studied about online trading and their impacts but very
few have been examined related to growth of online
trading.
