ACTIVITY : LINUS2.0
(LITERASI BAHASA INGGERIS)
Brief Description :
• This activity is designed to assist pupils who
are lagging behind or the non-achievers up
to the level of achievement.
• It is meant especially for pupils who do not
master the basic literacy skills.
• Aims – to ensure that pupils master the
constructs in LINUS2.0 and join the
mainstream.
Objectives
• To master the skills related to the constructs in
LINUS2.0 LBI
• To assist remedial pupils to be able to segment
and blend the words
• To assist remedial pupils to be able to read
simple sentences
Best Practices
• Create activities that will capture their
attention and understanding. Identifying their
interest.
• Provide various type of teaching method
supported by colourful/ attractive teaching
aids. Eg: rhyming mini book, family tree,
winter craft etc
• Always motivate and encourage them.
Implementation steps
• Teacher must knowing their students’ needs
based on the data collection during the
screening.
• Always keep track with the student’s progress to
ensure that they master each constructs
• Activities to be conducted according to the
constructs that have been mastered by the
pupils.
• Prepare suitable materials and activities that
suitable with their interest.
• conduct the extra classes to be less formal
Adaptation Ideas
• Get the pupils to involve in making the word
craft/ teaching aids etc.
• Showcase their works at the English Corner or
in the classroom to acknowledge and
appreciate their effort.
