“Can ideas

be truly
original?”
Objective

The objective of the assignment is to find whether

ideas that come to our minds are truly original or
not. We aim to arrive at conclusions by observing
different cases and collecting information about
them for in-depth analysis. There may be more
than one conclusion but we thrive to reach at the
most appropriate one by applying logic and
statistical methods wherever applicable.
Elaboration

Two schools of thoughts:

Artist as Antenna:
Ideas float in some barely perceptible ether waiting for
someone to pick them up
Artist as Creator:
Ideas are products of hard work and thoughtful
concentration
Our ‘recognized’ middle ground:
 Using something known to create something unknown –
degree of change required
Conclusion

Based on our analysis so far, the conclusion

we propose is that an idea can never truly
be original, any idea that comes up is either
manipulation of some earlier thought or a
different use of already prevalent form. Do
you have an original idea about this?
