HEALTH BENEFITS

Introduction
Papaya is a herbaceous fruit plant of Caricaceae
family originating from Central America and the West
Indies even the area around Mexiko and Coasta Rica.
Papaya planting is widely grown, both in tropical and
sub-tropical areas including Indonesia. Papaya fruit is
a high quality and nutritious fruit. The content
contained in papaya fruit is complete as proteins,
carbohydrates, calories and so forth.
Benefits of Papaya Fruit for Health

1. Healthy Bones
Vitamin K acts as a reduction of calcium excretion, calcium
absorption and bone matrix protein modifiers.
2. Prevent Heart Disease
High content of antioxidants in papaya in vitamin C and
provitamin A high carotenoid helps reduce the risk of heart
disease and stroke.
3. Wound healing
This is because papaya fruit contains papain and proteolytic
enzymes chymopapain which according to research can
serve as an ointment.
4. Antioxy in Blood
Papaya fruit seeds are useful as an antioxidant and in the blood
because it can lower LDL cholesterol , and increase levels of HDL
(high density lipoprotein).
5. Immune System
Papaya contains a high beta carotene compound that does affect
the immune system in the body.
6. Asthma
Beta-carotene compounds not only boost immunity but are also
useful in preventing asthma.
7. Good for Skin Care and Health
Papaya contains vitamin A and papain enzymes, which can help to
get rid of dead skin cells and dead proteins, so the skin looks
younger and shinier. Papaya is also believed to help overcome
acne and remove acne scars on the face quickly.
