ASSESSMENT OF

RISK TO HEALTH
An employer shall not carry out any work which may expose or is likely to
expose any employee to any chemical hazard unless he has made a written
assessment of the risks

The employer shall conduct the assessment at the work place which may
expose or is likely to expose the employees to chemicals hazard within one
year from the date of commencement of these Regulations.

The employer shall establish and implement procedures on the issuance, maintenance,
inspection and training in the use of the approved personal protective equipment

The approved personal protective equipment provided to employees must comply the
sub-regulation (1) which are:
• suitable to the type of work in which they are employed;
• fit the employees;
• not adversely affect the health or medical condition of the employees;
• Must have sufficient supply and readily available to employees who require it.
