What is a Team?
A group of people pooling theirs skills, talents, and
knowledge, with mutual support and resources, to
provide effective solutions to problems.

Why work in teams?

To share perspectives, learn from each other,
discover more about yourself and others, learn
something new, support each other, experiment, and
have fun.

Types of Teams Cont.
There are mainly four types of teams which
can be found in any organization

1. Problem Solving
2. Cross Functional Team
3. Self Managed Team
4. Virtual Team
Types of Teams Cont.
Problem Solving
Groups of 5 to 12 employees from the same
department who meet for a few hours each
week to discuss ways of improving quality,
efficiency, and the work environment

funds?
Types of Teams Cont.

level.

Types of Teams Cont.
Self Managed Work Team
Groups of 10 to 15 people who

interact physically but on the

constraints

Conclusion
 Team work should have effective collaborative skills
necessary to work well in team environment so this is not
just a team that will put their ideas without putting their
minds and heart on their job, as I stated earlier in the
introduction. Because it involves sacrifices, sharing of
rewards, sharing the blame and punishments, true
uniformity, suppression of personal opinions, etc.
 This is not very pleasant to many of those likely to work
alone/ individually. This is a contradictory to the game called
“TUG OF WAR”. In this game it really possesses teamwork,
where all the playmates hold their hands, pull to win it. But if
one fails to pull, energy of the team goes down, and then
everything follows… they fall.
