INTRODUCTION:-

 Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is an Indian Government program me aimed at


the universalization of elementary education .

“In a time bound manner”,as mandated by the 86th amendment to the


constitution of India making free and compulsory education to children
of ages 6-14 a fundamental rights.

The program me was pioneered by Atal Bihari vajpayee.

 A response to the demand for quality basic education all over the
country.

An opportunity for promoting social justice through basic education


AIMS:-

 To provide useful and elementary education for all children in the 6-14
age group.

To inculcate value –based learning.

To realize the importance of early childhood care and education and
looks at the 0-14 age as a continuum.

To allow children to learn about and master their natural environment in
order to develop their potential both spiritually and materially.

To bridge social, regional and gender gaps with the active participation
of community in the management of schools .
FRAMEWORK OF SSA:-

Appointment of teachers.

Training of teachers.

Motivating parents and students.

Additional classrooms.

Provision of toilets , drinking water facilities.

Strengthen existing schools.


FEATURES:-

Open new schools.

Improving existing school infrastructure.

Training and development program me for existing teachers.

Quality elementary education.

Provides additional facility.


ADVANTAGES:-

Illiteracy rate will be reduced.

India will become more developed country in the future.

Free education is provided.

Cycles are also given to the students.

It provides a compulsory education to the children in the age group 7-14
years.
CONCLUSION:-

SSA is an effort by government of India to popularize universal


elementary education(UEE).It aims to bring every child irrespective of
differences in gender physical, intellectual and social culture conditions.
