Reading Rotations

Mr. Berman
Letters “A” through “F” are placed
strategically around the room.
Rotations-15 Minutes Per Rotation
(May not get through all-just pick
up the next day)
A. Meet with Teacher
B. Spelling work (word chains, word searches, etc.)
C. 2 AR and then Computers (exactpath, study island, etc.)
D. Vocabulary (students make vocabulary cards by creating paper flash
cards with vocabulary words on one side and definitions on the other,
students also create vocabulary crossword puzzles and another student
solves it.)
E. Bookmarks, Trifolds, 5 Really Good Test questions (Students create a
“test” with five questions and write an answer key in pen.
F. Writing prompt or paired reading
A-Meet With
Teacher

• -Student bring a whiteboard to


answer questions as we close read
leveled readers and novels.
B-Spelling or Bellwork (ELA)

• -The spellingwords from the class website is projected onto the


board and students play spelling games and quiz eachother (with
one student looking away from the words)
• Students work on their ELA Bellwork
C-Computers

• Exactpath
• Study Island
• IXL
D-Vocabulary

-Create vocabulary cards


(word and definition)

-Vocabulary card quiz

-Create a vocabulary
Crossword Puzzle and have
A partner solve it.
E-Seatwork

• Bookmark
• Trifold
• Create “5 Really Good Questions”
and an answer key.
