c) Lisbon.
Another lemon is a

lemon ever grown was
recorded in Kiefar
Zeitem farm, Israel .

Micropropagation of mature tree of

Introduction:
Invitro micro propagation technology can overcome
some constraints related to citrus improvement and
cultivation.
It can increases fruit quality resistance to diseases &
environmental stresses
Somatic embryo genesis & plant regeneration from
thin cell layers of pistil were reported in citrus spp.
Elimination of Citrus Psoriasis virus (CPsV) was also
reported from three lemon sp.
This paper describes cloning of C.limon using explants
10-12years old selected mature tree.
 Requirements:
Nodal shoots of 10-12 years old seed raised plant.
MS culture media.
0.1% Bavistin, tetracycline & HgCl2.
BAP & Kn with different conc.
NH4NO3 , KNO3,(NH4)2 SO4.
3% commercial sugar & 0.8% agar-agar.
25x150mm test tubes
0.1%charcoal, 3%sucrose & various conc.of IBA.
Culture bottles containing soil rite.
Poly bags containing a mixture of organic manure, garden
soil & sand(1:1:1).
