 WHAT IS MY AGENCY PROJECT?

• RAINN Day
• It is a day of opportunity to demonstrate to peers or the community that you are an
ally in the fight against sexual violence.
• I will hold a class where I will have information and statistics about sexual violence,
and a speaker who has experience sexual violence to share their story, as well as
available resources in the community.
 WHO DOES THIS PROJECT INVOLVE?

• The project involves anyone in the community who would like to attend
• However, it may be held during a W.A.V.E class session since it is relevant to abuse in
general.
 WHO/WHAT IS NOT INVOLVED IN THE
PROJECT?

• Services like therapy, one-on-one meetings, group meetings, etc.

• I will provide available services relevant to sexual abuse in the area, but that will not
be something that is offered explicitly at the agency.
 WHAT IS THE TIME FRAME FOR MY
PROJECT?

• RAIIN Day should be completed by the end off April.

• Since April is sexual violence awareness and prevention month.
 WHY THIS PROJECT?

• Educates the public and clients about sexual abuse- including its definition,
effects, and resources.
• Allows the community to recognize abuse in their lives.
• Most women, especially in the W.A.V.E program did not know they were being abused
until they attended the class and learned about abuse.
• Allow the community to have access to relevant resources in the area.
