are single user multi tasking operating
system.
MULTI USER:
• Allows multiple users to access the computer at the
same time.
• Operating system manages memory and resources
among the various users according to the
requirement.
• Task of one user will not effect the task of other.
• Examples: UNIX, LINUX, mainframe OS etc.
