Get in to the site (whether it’s new or existing), and constantly refer
to the TEMS Pocket hardware display
If the parameters BCCH, BSIC, etc. are not shown, the site status is,
If the BCCH is not known or no site data (for e.g. .cel file) has been
provided, reach exact position of the site, either near to the tower or
under the antenna
Ensure serving cell coverage, the Rxlev is good ( around -40 dBm)
CASE II - CHECKING HANDOVERS
Perform all the above at opposite route, i.e. start from Sector B to
Sector A
Start the drive test from sector A to sector B. While we’re in Sector A
coverage, check if the BCCH of serving cell is the correct one,
according to the site data provided by the operator/vendor
Perform the drive test again or continue the route from opposite end,
i.e. from sector B coverage to Sector A
When we get the signal from the site that is not close to the current
area of drive test, the cell is said to be overshooting
Check the height of all RF sectors, along with their Mech and Elec.
