O ECOLOGY MARINE TRANSPORT SPECIALIST, INC. (Ecomarine) is a
newly organized company set-up to engage in the business of
providing cargo transport services to companies in the oil and
petroleum industry. Ecomarine as it is called falls under the Filoil
Group of Companies which is involved in fuel wholesale and
distribution, asphalt and fuel logistics.

O The company was incorporated in 2006 and started business by

entering into spot charters with the various oil companies
transporting petroleum cargo to various terminals in the Manila
Bay – Nagtahan area and various small terminals around the
country.
O Ecomarine provides the following services :

Time Charters of Vessels

The company enters into charters based on timeframes of 30, 45 & 60 days
particularly on inter-island hauling. Clients with bulk non-petroleum cargo
have been the company’s main users on time charter basis.

Spot Charter Hires – The company’s spot charter hires range from 48 hrs. (2 days)
shortest to 200 hours (9 days) longest. Spot chartering transactions have been the
main source of revenue for the company and is the frequently used mode of charter
applied by Ecomarine to its oil company clients. Inasmuch that the company
services three (3) major oil companies –Total, Chevron, Shell outside of its role as
the carrier of Flying V, Filoil and Filpride cargo. In this manner, the company is able
to service all its clients on a regular monthly basis.

Continuous Voyage Charters - The company also enters into continuous voyage
charters (CVCs) when clients require a pre-determined cargo volume to be moved
over a series of voyages. In such cases that occur, the company arranges to cover
the cargo movement with the right kind of vessel (s) and ensuring the right and
proper timeframe of delivery(ies).
