 An Entrepreneur is an individual who, rather than working as an employee,

founds and runs a small business, assuming all the risks and rewards of the
venture.
 The Entrepreneur is commonly seen as an innovator, a source of new ideas,
goods, services and business procedures.
TYPES OF ENTREPRENEUR

methods or processes, discover potential markets and reorganize the
company’s structure.
 These are the industry leaders and contribute significantly towards the
economic development of the country.
 They are always ready to take risks.
IMITATING ENTREPRENEURS

 They are those who immediately copy the new inventions made by innovative
entrepreneurs.
 These entrepreneurs are found in places where there is a lack of resources or
industrial base due to which no new innovation could be made.
 They also posses some risk taking abilities.
FABIAN ENTREPRENEURS

 These types of entrepreneurs are sceptical about the changes to be made in

the organization.
 They do not initiate any invention but follow only after they are satisfied with
its success rate.
 They want to be secure and do not take risks.
DRONE ENTREPRENEURS

 They are characterised by a refusal to adopt opportunities to make changes in

production formulae.
 Such entrepreneurs may even suffer from losses but they are not ready to
make changes in their existing production methods.
 Their risk taking calibre is zero.
