• It is a premium cable and satellite television network
• It is the oldest and longest continuously operating pay
television service in USA
• It was established in USA on 8 November 1972
• The network provides 7 24/7 multiplex channels
• Some channels include ; HBO Comedy, HBO Latino, HBO
Signature, and HBO Family.

• It has 127 million viewers from more than 50 countries
• It shows and makes movies, tv shows, documentaries etc…
• It has produced the world’s most popular shows such as
Game of Thrones, West world, Vice etc.
HBO Canada
• It entered the Canadian market on October 30, 2008
• It was introduced under TMN (The Movie Network) and Movie
Central.
• Canadian films and series also airs to satisfy Canadian content and
some others from USA.
• A sister channel Cinemax was also introduced.
• HBO Canada introduced further more products such as HBO Canada
HD, HBO Canada on Demand and HBO Go Canada.
HBO Canada HD
• is a high definition simulcast feed that broadcasts in
the 1080i resolution.
• is currently carried by satellite provider Bell TV, and cable
providers Rogers Cable, Bell Fibe TV, Access Communications etc..
HBO Canada On Demand
• It is a subscription video on demand service which is available at no
additional charge
• offers program content available in SD or HD including feature films,
tv series from TMN and Movie Central and imported series from
American premium services HBO and Cinemax, and special behind-
the-scenes features including interviews.
HBO Go Canada
• On February 27, 2013, HBO Go Canada was launched as
part of The Movie Network Go,
• It is a website and mobile app for the iPad, iPhone and iPod
Touch; the service features program content available for
streaming in standard or high definition.
