Company Background

-Filtro & Co was founded by five college students

-The Filtro Name

-Started operations in Mount Pleasant, Michigan

-Started in 2019

-Wanted to reduce time it takes to do laundry in order to maximize study time

-Objective is to better home products that ease burden of daily chores

Strengths-

1. Our organization is staffed by employees that are passionate and confident


in our product
2. We present a product that is innovative and the first of its kind.

Weaknesses-

1. Are people ready for this feature?


2. Avoid being on the bleeding edge of technology
3. We could improve our marketing for this product- We want as many people
to know about it as possible

1. Consumers always looking for most efficient way of getting things done

Threats-

1. Mistrust of new technology/product


2. Lack of need for the product- Consumers might like doing their own laundry
3. Charging low amount for the product- Hopefully we sell enough units to
make our product profitable
4. Possible too good to be true
Time Efficiency

Simply insert the clothes, insert some cleaning detergent, press the button and
wait for the Filt-O-Rama.

The machine washes, sorts, and dries all by itself. All you have to do is wait.
Finances

● Started with an investment of $1000 by each founder


● Formed a relationship with the manufacturer, allowed us to set the retail
price at a very reasonable $499.99
● Manufacturing costs= $250 Margin of 50% on each Filt-O-Rama

We have advertised through a number of methods:

print ads for Home Depot

campus
